Gavin Han, a registered and fully insured Acupuncturist and TCM practitioner. He began his medical career in 1995. He obtained his TCM bachelor’s degree in 2001 and gained his PhD in Clinical Study on TCM from the China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2008. Dr Han has over 26 years clinical experience, including his position as the Medical Director for China Healthcare Group in Dublin. During his TCM career, he has published 13 academic papers and nine medical monographs.

What to expect during a consultation?

TCM is holistic so a wide range of questions may be asked. This will often include the dietary habits, sleep quality, bowel movement, urine and energy levels. Your tongue will be examined, your pulse will be taken, your skin, muscle and tone may be checked. Practitioners can select from several treatment options, ranging from acupuncture, moxibustion and herbal medicine to patient education and lifestyle advice.
