Welcome, I’m Sophie, I am a Qualified Psychotherapist, Counsellor and Hypnotherapist.

Whether you are living with a difficult situation which is causing you distress, or you are affected by experiences from your past – I am here to help.

I took an interest in well-being and mental health, when I became a people manager in the corporate banking world. This environment has given me a wealth of knowledge and allowed me to work with a range of people. I gained my Counselling and Hypnotherapy qualifications, it allowed me to support teams up and down the country. Whether it was helping with anxiety, a family situation or work-related stress, I was able to empathise, provide the support and tools to help them improve their situation. I saw how much stress and anxiety effected people, how it can take over your day-to-day life, making daily tasks unbearable, feel overwhelming, and this is why it’s an area I now specialise in. I can support you by looking at the root cause of the issue and help you overcome that in the right way, to help you move forward.

I spend some of my time Volunteering for TheMix supporting 18 – 25-year-olds. This is a charity organisation that supports young people, with short term help, with mental health and emotional wellbeing. I provide counselling over the phone or via webchat with an aim to support them by listening to their problems and helping the find ways to cope in a confidential space.

I’ve been told by my clients I am a warm and friendly person, and that people feel safe and at ease in our sessions. I will talk openly and honestly with you throughout our sessions. You may experience a range of emotion in therapy, but it’s not all tears, you may laugh as well.

I take an integrative approach to therapy, which means I utilise a number of methods and theories when working with you, allowing you to go at your own pace, the therapy is tailored for you, your situation, your personality, and your goals.

As an integrative counsellor I use a range of approaches and models to support you:

*Person-Centred

*CBT

* Psychodynamic

*Transactional Analysis.

*Hypnotherapy

People come to counselling for a number of reasons, a life changing event, grief or loss, you may have low self-esteem or suffering from feelings of anxiety or depression. You may be experiencing a lack of direction, feelings of boredom or of being trapped. Perhaps you are experiencing difficulties in a significant relationship, that you are unable to manage in a healthy way. These ongoing issues, without the knowledge and/or support of how to overcome them, may leave you feeling lost and overwhelmed.

Together we can work through the reasons your attending counselling and I can offer a safe, supportive, confidential space, free of judgement, to enable you to explore your feelings, emotions and work through your situation. I will work with you, support you in finding the answers you need, and coping strategies to enable you to move forward and achieve your goals

    Good experience here. Relaxed atmosphere and treatments were very professional . Very warm and cosy in an upstairs room for the first treatment and then taken downstairs to the new manicure and pedicure room. Didn't expect this lovely new room in the basement, I've been coming here for years and this is a very welcome new addition. Jenna carried out my treatments and is a lovely young lady, very nice manner and very knowledgeable of the treatments!

    Lovely place. Was greeted very warmly when I arrived. Laura my therapist explained the process of my treatments in a very professional way. The highlight of my trip was a back, neck, shoulder and head massage. The massage was such a relaxing experience. One of the best massages I have had in a long time. I will float through my day! Will definitely be back and would recommend a visit if you are looking for a friendly, professional treatment.

    After being let down by another salon, I tried to book in last minute to have LVL lashes which I’ve had time and time again at another salon. I booked in and was asked to come in for a patch test immediately which I did. I was there within an hour of booking the appointment. When I got to the salon, after getting the train down at the cost of £6 I was told that actually it won’t be enough time between the test and the treatment so they can’t do it on the day I need them for. Clearly the therapists all have different views on the timings around a patch test. Fuming…
