Hi, my name is Jen, I am a Clinical Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist specialising in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, helping clients to reduce anxiety and stress and the symptoms this causes for them such as:

I worked in the NHS for over 12 years as a Midwife and sexual health and contraceptive nurse and came to Hypnotherapy after having my own children using Hypnobirthing methods, gained my Diploma in Hypnobirthing with KGH and then trained with Clifton Hypnotherapy Training School and became more interested in how the brain works.
I am based in West Lancashire in my own independent clinic in a Semi-Rural setting in Aughton, Ormskirk and as well as running my own private hypnotherapy clinic I am also a Senior Lecturer for CPHT Chester.

4 months agoI’ve been coming to Jen since 2022 December as I’ve struggled with my anxiety for years and it was becoming to much ,, I’ve tried so many other ways of therapy and people but no one has ever been as good as Jen ,, I no longer struggle with my anxiety anymore and I’m a lot more confident in my self I couldn’t have ever done this without Jen I also had a struggle with passing my driving test last year as my anxiety just kept getting the better off me and when I’d seen Jen I’d mentioned it and we booked in for the night before my test,, she completely calmed my nerves and the test went perfect I passed with just 2 minors after taking 3 other tests and having at least 3 majors!! I genuinely put my passing down to Jen so I highly recommend for driving test anxiety as well . All in all Jen has been amazing for me and I wouldn’t be where I am now without her She’s the best

2 months agoI had some longstanding fears and concerns that were affecting my quality of life. After being hesitant and sceptical about what hypnotherapy could do for me, but needing help and having nothing available on the NHS, I decided to contact Jen. And am I pleased I did. Hypnotherapy is not what I thought it would be. You are in complete control, but just relaxed similar to like just before you go to sleep. The benefit started to happen after the second session for me. Sleep, and more sleep but restful and deep. Having completed my course I am surprised how well I feel and how the worries that consumed me are now under control. I totally recommend Jen. She applies her knowledge in a professional and relaxed way. She inspires confidence, is pragmatic and non judgemental and the reviews are testament to what benefits can be gained through undertaking a course of hypnosis. If you are reading this and are looking for help in choosing a hypnotherapist, just as I was, then give Jen a try because she really can make a positive difference.

a year agoI had my initial visit with Jen in October 2022 when I first sought help for anxiety and low mood. I was very nervous but needn’t have been….Jen listened to my story before explaining exactly why I felt the way I did and how she could help me. I left that first meeting with real hope for the future. As the weeks progressed I was able to enjoy the experience of deep relaxation and looked forward to each session. Jen was so easy to talk to. Gradually I found the negative thoughts that had plagued me becoming less and less. Jen’s supporting tracks were really beneficial, and better than any sleep remedy……I found that as soon as I heard the music and Jen’s voice I was back in my boat drifting away! I’ve now had my final session and can’t thank Jen enough for her help and support. I have no hesitation in recommending her.

a year agoJen is fantastic at what she does. I had 8 or 9 sessions and they have completely changed my life. Jen is engaging, professional and extremely knowledgeable. She has an amazing way of explaining things in a very clear way and answered every question that popped into my head during our sessions. The pillow in her therapy room is the comfiest pillow I've ever laid my head on. Jen has helped calm a very busy mind and given me lifelong techniques to use.

a year agoI was a little bit sceptical at first, but after 1st consultation Jen was so understanding, welcoming and professional. Jen explained exactly why my anxiety made me feel the way I did. I felt relaxed and at ease with her. I have finished my last session and I can’t thank her enough! It has helped me progress in myself, I feel so much happier and confident and my anxiety has reduced massively. Thank you Jen you are an absolute Gem xx.
