I am an ACP-registered Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist offering specialist psychodynamic and psychoanalytic psychotherapy for children, adolescents and young adults aged 0–25, alongside therapeutic support for parents and families.
I have over 14 years of experience working with children, young people and families across different roles within the NHS. My work is informed by a longstanding interest in children’s emotional development, their relationships and the ways in which their experiences shape how they understand themselves and the world around them.
I work with children and young people of all ages, from infancy through adolescence and into early adulthood. I support a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties, including anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioural and emotional difficulties, attachment and relationship concerns, low self-esteem, loss, separation and family challenges.
My approach recognises that children communicate their feelings in different ways. Younger children may express themselves through play and behaviour, while adolescents and young adults may find it easier to explore their experiences through conversation. I adapt my approach to each individual’s developmental stage, emotional needs and circumstances.
I also offer parent–infant psychotherapy, parent–child psychotherapy and therapeutic consultations for parents who would like support in understanding their child’s emotional world and strengthening their relationship.
My private practice is based in Birmingham, offering face-to-face appointments and online sessions where appropriate. I aim to provide a thoughtful, confidential and supportive environment where children, young people and families can explore their difficulties, develop greater emotional understanding and feel more able to manage life’s challenges.
